Monthly Update - June

It's already half way through the year - how scary is that? All over the country exams are coming to an end and for many students its the start of the holidays, for everyone else it's long days and sunny weather (hopefully!).

So what does June mean to us? Well June means Vanguard, Magic, Star Wars, Doomtown and Netrunner.
This month we've got two very large events in the form of Springfest and a Regional Pro-Tour Qualifier.
What are these things I hear you ask? Well lets start from the begining of the month and work our way through.
This coming weekend is very busy we have GPT Lille (£12 entry) which is the first Legacy event we have run in the store for a while - expect some fun looking decks at this event!

Doomtown Reloaded tournament (£10 entry) will be using the second organized play kit and the winner as well as getting the mat from the kit will be getting entry for our Deputy Event (which will be taking place on July 18th).

On top of all this we have our first Splendor Tournament (£5 entry) and the perfect time to pick up a new game!

On Sunday we have our Netrunner Spring Kit Tournament (£5 entry) first place will be getting the spring mat amongst other prizes being given out.

Saturday 13th see's us running the Star Wars LCG Regional (£15 entry) (the event can be found here). We're very much looking forward to seeing the different decks and getting into the spirit of all things Star Wars.

Saturday 20th & Sunday 21st - Springfest! Every year the makers behind Cardfight Vanguard, Buddy Fight and Weis Schwarz Bushiroad put on a free tournament. Last year the tournament was so big that this year it's been split into two. We are hosting one half whilst the other half is being run on the same day in Firestorm Games, Cardiff.

On Saturday it will be the Vanguard Teams Event (if you are plannning on attending please register your team here) and then casual games for Buddyfight and Weis Schwarz. The event starts at 10am and finishes at 6pm.

On Sunday it will be casual games for Vanguard and the tournaments for Weis Schwarz and Buddyfight. We will also be running some side events on both days which will be announced soon so watch this space.

Saturday June 27th is our Regional Pro Tour Qualifier for Milwaukee. It's the only one in the country for Milwaukee but you have to have qualified for the main event to take part in it. For those that are playing in the event it's totally free, however don't worry if you haven't qualified we have side events going on all day

Side Events:
These events will be running throughout the day and will start whenever we have enough to fill the pods.
Each Pod will consist of 8 players and will be a first come first served system so no trying to save places.

You don't have to have qualified for the RPTQ to play in these they are open to everyone.
