It's already half way through the year - how scary is that? All over the country exams are coming to an end and for many students its the start of the holidays, for everyone else it's long days and sunny weather (hopefully!).

Welcome, one and all to another of IQ's game-centric blogs! A more in-depth look at one of the more popular Fantasy Flight LCGs in-store at the moment, the gritty, cyberpunk world of Android: Netrunner.
Based on the CCG Netrunner, originally created by the mind behind Magic: The Gathering - Richard Garfield - this asymmetrical game of strategy and bluffing proved wildly popular when first released and has been growing stronger ever since.
Every month I write a Looking forward to blog and this month I started to write about Modern Masters 2015, it ended up being a little more in depth so I decided to spilt it off into a separate blog post.
Saturday 25th April saw IQ Gaming host our X-Wing Regional Championship for 2015. The Regional Championships for X-Wing grant winners a bye at the UK National Championship, and are only two steps away from the World Championships!
79 players turned up to make it the biggest X-Wing event the UK has ever had. After 9 hours of X-Wing we had our top 8 players. Three hours later (at around half past midnight!) we had our winner.
On Saturday 25th April, we had a great turn out for our Roaring Skies Prerelease. The main room at IQ was filled out with fans of all ages wanting to grab the rarest in demand cards from the latest Pokemon set.
This weeks review I wanted to look at a game that combines all sorts of different aspects, from drafting to hand management to resource management. 7 Wonders is a game for 2-7 players created by Antoine Bauza and produced by Repos Productions.
What's It All About?
A game that has seen a considerable amount of play in the shop since its release is the new miniatures game from Fantasy Flight Games: Star Wars Armada.
This month has brought up a couple of nice surprises. Firstly we finally received delivery of the Alien Deckbuilding Game, something i've been looking forward to since the first day I saw it. The idea of being able to play through the franchise is just so exciting to me I cant wait to crack it open and give it a go.
